Standard I to XII

Christ Vidyanikethan is affiliated to the prestigious council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi (C.I.C.S.E.)

The council conducts two examinations :

1. The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) at the end of Class X.
2. The Indian School Certificate (ISC) at the end of Class XII.

All candidates for the Board Examinations must sit for six subjects.

GGROUP I: CORE SUBJECTS (Compulsory 3 subjects):

1. 1. English Language and Literature (2 papers)
2. 2. Second Language : Malayalam or Hindi (1 paper).
3. 3. History, Civics and Geography (2 papers)

Group II

1. 4. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (3 papers)
2. 5. Mathematics (1 paper)

Group III Elective Subject (Any 1 Subject)

1. 6. Commercial Applications (1 paper)
2. 7. Computer Applications (1 paper)

CHOICE OF SUBJECTS IN CLASS XI
(All the candidates must appear for 5 subjects for the ISC Examination)

     Stream A
      SCIENCE

1. Physics
2. Chemistry
3. Mathematics

     Stream B
      COMMERCE

1. Accounts
2. Economics
3. Business Studies

Optional Subjects for Stream A : Biology OR Computer Science
Stream B : Mathematics OR Commerce

In case if there are not enough candidates for a particular optional subject, the same Stream will not be offered
